Entry 3
Today's entry is something that i find more annoying than just about anything else in the world. Today's entry is about when people between around 12 & 14 begin to reminisce about 'childhood'. the reason this annoys me so much is purely because they are too young to be reminiscing especially about a childhood which isn't over. To me childhood ends on the day of your first exam. In Scotland that's fourth year. So whenever i see a first second or third year sitting in a group and thinking back on the 'good old days' a little part of my dies.
Somebody i know who falls firmly into this bracket is my little sister and she is also one of the worst for it. constantly i will catch her talking with her friends and i will just hear "oh remember 'insert title of a kids tv show here'. I used to love that." this of course is followed by a gaggle of her friends all replying with the same tired response of "awww me too i loved that so much when i was a kid". There are many times when i hear this and just want to turn and shout aloud "WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHEN I WAS A KID YOU STILL FUCKING ARE!!!" but i don't...mainly because my sister is a trend slave and in so many ways the ultimate sheep.
It's not just her though it seems that from as early as the age of twelve people have this desperate need to relive the past and it is actually saddening to see. How can somebody find happiness in life when they are too busy remembering the past. most likely at the bottom of a blue wkd bottle.
That is really all i have to say on the matter and i'm very sorry for those few who do actually read this that it is so short but i can't keep thinking about this as it is actually driving me insane. But i have made the decision that from now on i will end each one of these with a joke mainly because these are not happy things they are in fact things that make me incredibly angry. That coupled with the fact that my life is pretty much based on laughter leaves me with the only possible conclusion being a little joke to brighten the mood a bit.
so here goes... the past , the present and the future walk into a bar...the atmosphere was tense... goodnight and thanks for reading
